Mummified in Circuitry "Echoes of Morality" Review + Exclusive Album Streaming!

Here we have Mummified in Circuitry, made up of RJ Conner- Vocals, Nick Oliveira- Guitar, Sergio D'Alfonso- Guitar, Nick Scarfo – Guitar, Justin Fletcher- Bass, Jon Ballard- Drums from Billerica, MA and their album Echoes of Morality, which features 10 tracks of a sound made up of metalcore/deathcore/hardcore styles.

The production has an interesting mix, everything sound really crisp/sharp. As for the music, there are hits and misses. Nothing really stands out but some of the riffs are pretty catchy in parts. The overall sound is pretty wide with the guitars layered.

The first track is an instrumental intro made of a nice chug type riff nothing to much going on but it’s just an intro. The next track starts with some nice guitar style sweeping riffs as the intro track ends and we head into this next track. I wasn’t for sure what exactly to expect vocal wise first hearing this, I’ve never heard of the band till now and knowing how many bands have decent riffs but the vocals kick in and ruin it all. So, I was hoping it wouldn’t be ruined, my hopes were right. The vocals aren’t total deathcore sounding more of a hardcore style but there are no whinny parts. Some riffs many sound metalcore but at least the vocals style hard.

One strong point of Mummified in Circuitry are their breakdowns, they are very slamming. I’m sure their live shows have a lot of energy and some good pits. Overall the music sounds like its always fighting with its self, best I can explain it, is it metalcore but then switches to deathcore style then throws in hardcore. Each musician brings their own background into the band, that is very clear.

The guitar work in these tracks is always on the move and yet can come down slamming a solid chug breakdown riff when the time is right. I have to say, I was taken back by the leads in some of the tracks. I wasn’t expecting there to be any leads honestly.

Again, nothing stands out as amazing to me at least, but I can tell these guys do have a lot of heart and energy behind them and a good fan base.

I give this album a rating of 4/5
